The rules of the Dream Team competition

Competition procedure

Qualifying stage

  1. To participate in the Dream Team competition, assemble a team of four participants: a hairdresser, a makeup artist, a manicure master and a model (up to 30 years old)

  2. Working in a team, create a complete gala look

  3. Take a photo of a hairstyle, manicure, makeup and the whole look using the criteria presented below for a photo

  4. Register the team and pay the registration fee in the amount of 3000 hryvnia until August 20, 2020 (you will receive the payment details after registration). Send photo package with an assignment to the mail dreamteam@molfarforum.com with the name of your team in the subject line

  5. From 24 to 31 August 2020, the profile jury will determine the work of the 12 best teams, another 2 teams will get to the final stage of the Competition by online voting

  6. The results of the qualifying stage will be published on the website on September 3, 2020

Final stage

  1. In September 2020, the teams selected will receive an invitation to the final stage of the Competition in Bukovel. You need to come with the whole team. Model replacement is not allowed

  2. Participation in the second stage of the Competition is paid — 16 000 hryvnias from the whole team. The amount of the registration fee includes tickets for masters on the flows “Hairdressing”, “Makeup” and “Manicure”. And accommodation in Bukovel, breakfasts and parties for the model

  3. Teams that have reached the final must pay the registration fee until September 15, 2020

  4. On the stage, the team-finalists will gradually recreate the competitive looks. The team, which will succeed in surpassing competitors, will receive a Grand Prix in the amount of UAH 100,000 in cash and the precious challenge Cup Dream Team. Or an award in the form of certificates of 25,000 hryvnia in one of 4 nominations — “The best manicure”, “The best hairstyle”, “The best makeup” or “People’s Choice”

Evaluation criteria for the qualifying stage

Stage “Manicure”

  • Complexity and workmanship

    Accuracy and cleanliness of work, thoroughness of details is evaluated

  • Originality of the look

    An extraordinary approach and unusual vision is evaluated

  • Colour solution

    Harmony and selection of colours, their combination and balance is evaluated

  • Overall impressions

    Harmony of the complete look is evaluated

General requirements:

  • The skin of the model's hands is well-groomed and healthy

  • Open, clean cuticle line

  • Length of nails from cuticle to tips of nails from 1.7 to 5 centimeters

  • Work is performed on nails modeled with transparent or camouflage material

  • Nail design is in harmony with the complete look

  • Wearable nails and meet the trends of 2020

Permitted:

  • Use equipment and tools of any type

  • To complement the design by nail accessories

  • Nail design can be made in any technique, have any surface, for example, flat or embossed, contain three-dimensional (3D) elements

Stage “Makeup”

  • Complexity and workmanship

    Shape and symmetry is evaluated

  • Originality of the look

    An extraordinary approach and unusual vision is evaluated

  • Colour solution

    Harmony and selection of colours, their combination and balance is evaluated

  • Overall impressions

    Harmony of the complete look is evaluated

General requirements:

  • On the face of the model there is no permanent makeup and eyelash extensions

  • Facial skin is healthy, without flaws

  • The model has a modern eyebrow shape.

  • Makeup is wearable and follows the fashion trends of 2019

Permitted:

  • Use airbrush, gel textures, small decorative elements (for example, eyelashes or rhinestones)

Stage “Hairstyle”

  • Complexity and workmanship

    Hair style and cleanliness is evaluated

  • Originality of the look

    An extraordinary approach and unusual vision is evaluated

  • Colour solution

    Colouring technique and colour purity is evaluated

  • Overall impressions

    Harmony of the complete look is evaluated

General requirements:

  • Model hair length — without restrictions

  • It is forbidden to use coloured sprays, comprehend, work with hair extensions

  • Models' hair must be coloured. The choice of colours is arbitrary. The colour should be complex and executed in the fashion trends of colour in 2020

Permitted:

  • Use any hairstyle support tools and any tools to create it

  • Use any decorations that make the look of the model complete

Photo requirements

Subject requirements:

  • Manicure. Take a picture of the model’s hands so that the details of the manicure are clearly visible

  • Makeup. Take photos of the “Before” and “After” models. Both pictures in full face — the model looks straight

  • Hairstyle. Take photos in which the shape and elements of hair will be well viewed

  • Complete look. Take a photo of the model in full growth, which will be viewed the entire image

Technical requirements:

  • JPG or PNG format

  • The minimum resolution of 4000 pixels

  • Aspect ratio 2×3

Dream Team final stage rules

  1. A team in full force must appear at the competition in advance (no less than 10 minutes before the start of each stage), have everything necessary for carrying out the competition work and prepare their workplace

  2. In case of delay the team is not allowed to participate in the stage

  3. The master must have with him his own materials, tools and accessories necessary to perform the competitive task

  4. The master can use materials, tools and accessories of any brand

  5. Forum organizers provide participants with an equipped workplace

  6. Sound signal means the beginning and end of each competition stage

  7. After the beep and “Stop!” command, the master must immediately stop working, clear the workplace and leave the competition area. Models remain in place until jury members complete the stage evaluation

  8. A competitor may not leave the competition area during the stages without the permission of the jury chairman

  9. Models are prohibited from leaving the competition area until the work is completed or without the permission of the jury chairman

The rules are binding and apply to all three stages of the competition — “Makeup”, “Hairstyle”, “Manicure” and evaluation of the overall look by the judges

Stage “Manicure”

  • Pre-competition preparation

    The model's hand condition is evaluated. Compliance with all the rules for constructing the architecture of the modeled nails in accordance with the built form

  • Complexity and workmanship

    Accuracy and cleanliness of work, thoroughness of details is evaluated

  • Originality of the look

    An extraordinary approach and unusual vision is evaluated

  • Colour solution

    Harmony and selection of colours, their combination and balance is evaluated

  • Overall impressions

    Harmony of the complete look is evaluated

General requirements:

  • Lead time: 60 minutes

  • The skin of the model's hands is well-groomed and healthy

  • Open, clean cuticle line

  • Length of nails from cuticle to tips of nails from 1.7 to 5 centimeters

  • Work is performed on nails modeled with transparent or camouflage material before the start of the contest

  • Design on one arm is done in advance, outside the competition field. Second hand design performed at the competition

  • The design of the nails of both hands should be in harmony with each other and with a complete look. Both hands are evaluated

  • Wearable nails and meet the trends of 2020

  • Lead time: 45 minutes

  • On the table in front of the master is a photo of a model without makeup. Photo format: A4. The master prepares the photo in advance and brings with it to the competition

  • On the face of the model there is no permanent makeup and eyelash extensions

  • Facial skin is healthy, without flaws

  • The model has a modern eyebrow shape.

  • Makeup is wearable and follows the fashion trends of 2019

After completion of the work and evaluation by the judges, each team will have 10 minutes to prepare the model for the final defile
